Hey LifeGroup Leaders!!
LifeChurch.tv, OKC Campus is hosting FPU starting September 13th. Be sure to let your LifeGroup members know this valuable class is being offered. The first meeting is organizational and will be held in the East Room at 5:30 P.M. From that point, groups will be assigned and the classes will begin. Materials will need to be purchased beforehand unless you already have them. A discount can be found at www.daveramsey.com/lifechurch.
If your whole LifeGroup is interested, you can host the class yourself. The OKC Campus has several master kits available to borrow. Contact Suzi Hanson with any questions.

Icy Waters: A Leadership Challenge

How long does it take to get over hypothermia? How long does it take for your body to recover after braving the coldest of waters imaginable to accomplish an incredible feat? I’ll tell you, at my age, it takes five days too many! Though the shivering is gone, I’m still a little cold from having to dive to the depths of our nine foot pool last week to fix the hopelessly clogged pump. I held my breath desperately as I tried to coax out two of the longest screws ever created from the filter cover beneath the icy waters. Fortunately, Nikki and the kids were there for support, and each time I surfaced from the bottom of the pool, I was met by their roaring laughter. I probably would have been laughing too, if I hadn’t been too busy freezing to death in my quest to fix the family pool. There are so many pieces of equipment that would have made the dive slightly less unpleasant and deadly for me. Unfortunately, I had none of them. At one point, I was so desperate for the right tools that I tried to shove my twelve-year-old daughter’s flippers on my feet! That didn’t work. I was alone, without tools and resources and in way over my head. Thank God I survived. And the pool is crystal clear!
As a LifeGroup Leader, do you feel like you’re belly up in the water, just floating around without resources or support? Sometimes leadership can seem a little lonely. It’s difficult to keep diving down deeper and deeper to accomplish the goals you’ve set for your group. There are hundreds of leaders out there just like you and I think you should meet them! We’ll be having a LifeGroup Leadership Rally on May 3rd, from 5:30-7:30pm (childcare provided), here at the OKC campus. Come enjoy some food and fun! You’ll have the chance to meet your fellow LifeGroup Leaders, as well as your staff support system. You’ll also get the chance to learn about resources and tools that are out there to help with your leadership success. Let’s all dive in together! The water’s fine.
